Sex and the Single Girl

Sex and the Single Girl (1964) starring Natalie Wood, Tony Curtis, Henry Fonda, Lauren Bacall and Mel Ferrer.

Not the best, but not miserable. Enjoyable mostly because I love Natalie Wood, Tony Curtis and Lauren Bacall so much.

If you watch this, watch Down with Love after. Down with Love is inspired by a lot of the Doris Day / Rock Hudson movies (as far as filming / editing style), but plot-wise? It's mostly all Sex and the Single Girl. There's also a bit of Cruel-Intentions-and-Les-Liaisons-Dangereuses-ness to it.

Sidenote (re: Down with Love) - David Hyde Pierce should be in more things. More things you can see without going to New York to see a show.

Sexy Sox = Spanx's ancestor.
You know how people insist on comparing modern day actresses to actresses of yore? Well sometimes Emma Stone reminds me of Lauren Bacall. And not even because of the voice! The faces.
Wonderful, wonderful coat.

Dark Passage

Just some screencaps with no commentary today....

Dark Passage (1947) starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall.

Recommended (especially because of the first-person p.o.v. section).

If you watch it, please pay attention to Lauren Bacall's nose.... it moves around ALL THE TIME. Like she's in I Dream of Jeannie.
She's the worst. This image illustrates it.
