The Seven Year Itch

The end of the SUMMER MOVIE SERIES has arrived. Soon I'll be unplugging my air conditioner and pulling out my electric blanket.

We'll finish things off with some summer in the city courtesy of The Seven Year Itch (1955).

See you later, summer.

Corvette Summer

Corvette Summer (1978) - starring Mark Hamill and Annie Potts.

Mark Hamill's character builds this car with his auto shop class and they are very proud of it.
Unfortunately, the car is stolen.
He does not take it well.
At all.
Someone tells him that the car is in Vegas so off he goes.
He hooks up with this character played by Annie Potts. She's moving to Vegas to be a hooker.
Eventually they find the car.
He returns the car to his old high school and gets the girl.

Not my fave movie and I didn't expect it to be (my taste in cars = old volvo station wagons), but I'm taking this summer-themed movie series very seriously, guys. Very seriously. This fit.

Summer Holiday

I watched Summer Holiday (1963) a few weeks ago and I've had the title song stuck in my head ever since. It's insanely catchy. See for yourself...
I told you.

The gist of the plot: some young people go on a summer road trip through Europe in a double decker bus. One of the riders is a pop star on the run from her demanding mother. Hijinks. Corny/great songs. Etc.
