I read Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier last year and loved it. I loved it a LOT.
I've finally gotten around to watching the movie (from 1940) directed by Alfred Hitchcock and starring Laurence Olivier and Joan Fontaine - I enjoyed it almost as much as the book.
If you haven't already, you should read the book and watch the movie asap.
As I was watching the movie I kept thinking - "who does she remind me of? WHO DOES SHE REMIND ME OF?" I don't know if I ever quite put my finger on it, but she has a bit of a Greta-Gerwig-esque awkwardness which made me semi-long for a remake starring her.
